Beginner Beading Classes

Six weeks that begin with how to hold a needle and end with a finished pair of earrings you would actually wear. Thread tension, ladder stitch, brick stitch and clean finishing — taught slowly, filmed close, repeated until your hands stop asking questions.

Foundation path · no experience needed

Advanced Beadwork Techniques

Eight weeks inside the structures behind couture-level pieces: peyote and herringbone, right-angle weave, netting and bead embroidery. You will learn to read any chart, invert it, resize it — and to design thread paths of your own.

For makers who already weave

One school, one thread

Both classes share the same spine: a weekly video chapter, a printable chart, a materials list you can shop from any US supplier, and instructor feedback on the photograph of your work. Nothing is left to guessing.

02The Format

Filmed close · printed clear
A tablet with an open video lesson lying on a dark work table among scattered charts

Step-by-Step Video Lessons

Filmed in 4K, one pass of the thread at a time, from both the right and the left hand. Pause, rewind, slow to quarter speed — the needle waits for you, every single time.

Digital Learning Materials

Printable charts, numbered bead maps and color recipes arrive in your library the minute you enroll. Every count is test-woven twice before it is published, so your rows land exactly where the page says they will.

03Creative Jewelry Projects

Handmade chandelier earrings with bead fringe and drops Project — Chandelier Earrings

Pieces you finish, not just watch

Every project is a complete build: a pattern, a filmed walk-through and an exact kit list. You start with loose beads on a mat and end with a photographed piece for your own portfolio.

  • Chandelier earrings — fringe, drops and balance
  • Wrap bracelet — leather, ladder stitch, button closure
Handmade statement collar with detailed bead embroidery Project — Statement Collar

From a sketch to the clasp

The collar project runs the whole road: choosing a palette with our color recipes, grading the weave, setting the focal stone, then backing and edging so the piece lies flat and lasts years.

  • Statement collar — netting over a shaped base
  • Finishing lab — clasps, cones, crimps and care

04The Philosophy

Patience is a material.

A single bead can hold a room of light.

Hands remember what screens alone cannot teach —

so we built a school where they learn together.

05The Materials

The Materialslibrary

Half of a beautiful piece is decided before the first stitch. Every course opens with a curated kit list — exact bead sizes, thread weights and finding metals — plus a sourcing guide to trusted US suppliers, so nothing you buy goes to waste.

Along the way you learn to judge quality the way jewelers do: by the cut of the glass, the weight of the finding, the evenness of a strand held up to the light.

Enrolled students receive seasonal color recipes — tested palettes of exact bead numbers, so a piece you weave in Wyoming matches the one on our screen.

Notes our students tied to the thread

Collected from course completion surveys · 2026

I enrolled without knowing how to keep tension on a thread. Six weeks later I wear earrings people assume are boutique-bought. The close-up camera work showed exactly where my loops were going wrong.

C Clara Benson Beginner Beading Classes

The herringbone and right-angle weave modules finally clicked after years of guessing from books. Submitting my collar for critique and getting notes back on my thread paths was worth the fee alone.

N Naomi Turner Advanced Beadwork Techniques

I made the chandelier earrings as a gift for my sister's wedding. The pattern, the bead map and the video matched each other exactly — not one recount, not one wasted row.

E Elise Porter Creative Jewelry Projects

Thirty-nine dollars a month is less than I used to waste on beads bought wrong. The color recipes changed how my pieces look, and there is something genuinely new to learn every month.

T Tessa Monroe Craft Education Membership

The charts print beautifully and the counts are accurate. I keep a binder of them next to my bead board and barely need the videos anymore for repeat patterns.

A Anika Patel Digital Learning Materials

I am left-handed, and this is the first school that films every technique from both sides. Slowing the footage to quarter speed while I follow along made peyote stitch finally make sense.

L Lauren Bishop Step-by-Step Video Lessons

I bought the beginner class on a whim during a slow winter. My desk is now a small studio, and the bracelet from week four sold at a local market before I had even finished pricing it.

H Hannah Cole Beginner Beading Classes

The bead-embroidery unit took me from a pencil sketch to a finished, backed portrait brooch. The instructor's notes on edging alone were more useful than a workshop I once paid triple for.
